Anita Mitterer
Anita Mitterer has taught violin, viola and chamber music at the Mozarteum University Salzburg from 1992 to 2019. She studied in Salzburg, Vienna and Prague with Jürgen Geise, Antonin Moravec and Thomas Christian. For over twenty years she was concertmaster of the Baroque Ensemble of Salzburg and has been a longtime leading member of Nikolaus Harnoncourt`s Concentus Musicus. Anita Mitterer is the Violist of the famous Austrian Ensemble Quatuor Mosaïques, which is known as the most prominent period-instrument quartet.
With Quatuor Mosaïques, she has performed in famous concert halls and festivals throughout the world. The Quartet also has an extensive discography, which ranges from “Wiener Klassik” repertoire to well-known contemporaries.
